VIDEO OF THE WEEK: HUSKER DU "I DON'T WANT TO KNOW IF YOU ARE LONELY"

Another tribute video this week, as yesterday we sadly lost the mighty Grant Hart - drummer and co-vocalist with the HUGELY influential Minneapolis power-pop/punk trio Husker Du. One of those bands that garnered far more critical acclaim in their hey-day than record sales, the band - comprising Hart, fellow vocalist and guitar whizz Bob Mould, and bassist Greg Norton - released tons of glorious records throughout the 80's before imploding in an acrimonious frenzy made up of creative differences, bitterness and drugs. Lots of drugs. Norton left the music biz for good, Mould went on to forge a successful solo career - as well as hitting big with another trio in the splendid Sugar - whilst Hart tried again with Nova Mob and various solo projects. It never quite happened again for him unfortunately, and his battles with drink, drugs and depression were legion. His death - from liver cancer at the far too young age of 56 - was not really a surprise, sadly. He did though, leave us - among many other fine tunes - this sublime 3 minutes of grungy, pop/punk perfection.

RIP fella.
